The school management decided to promote Youth Entrepreneurship through the Erasmus 2018-1-ES01-KA201-049936 ENOCULTURE / EUROPEAN
ENOLOGY / EUROPEAN GRAPES program by organizing various activities.
The goal was to strengthen the business culture of young people in Europe and in our country.
Students who were immigrants as well as other students from vulnerable groups also took part in the project.
The main objectives of the Erasmus program for integration activities were:
• Students to understand similarities and differences between them.
• Students to recognize and appreciate the diversity among their peers.
• Students to learn how to communicate and collaborate with students from other countries and other cultures.
Getting to know and collaborating with other people will help students to develop empathy, respect, understanding and connection.
Communicating and sharing experiences with people from different cultures, religions, cultures can help students tolearn about others and respect
diversity.
Main objectives of the Entrepreneurship for Youth program:
Enhancing business behavior by promoting new skills, knowledge and experience to young students.
• Students learn how to begin a start-up company.
• Promoting the transfer of ideas, knowledge and cooperation between students.
• Students develop 21st century skills.
Benefits for students who participated in this program:
The program was completed successfully, and the evaluation proved that the students had the following benefits:
• They developed the ability to create and manage a start-up company.
• The developed relevant skills and knowledge such as communication, teamwork, business plan writing, creating, marketing and selling a product.
• They gained practical experience creating their own start-up company and presented their work in three different national competitions.
The final product they developed was a platform where using 3D Graphics presents the world of Commandaria wine in Cyprus.
The students created a treasure hunting game called "La Grande Commanderie" where the player through the game can learn about the history of
Commandaria wine.
