Project description
"Let's be Eco-sustainAble"is a result of cooperation of 6 countries. The partnership’s aim is to reduce the number of students
endangered of risk of early school leaving, through a set of innovative and attractive activities concerning the several
aspects of sustainable living. Even if we come from different backgrounds and we teach in different countries, we daily
observe similar learning barriers among our students, no matter the type of school they attend; and we daily struggle to
devise innovative strategies and approaches to better succeed in our educational mission. Pedagogical studies demonstrate
that learning about natural environment through the concept of “action-centred learning”, pupils are motivated to learn and
display a proactive attitude in their communities.
The project title tells the pupils to BE ABLE to set in motion
“ECO-actions” that will involve community and have
repercussions on the future, holding the concept of
SUSTAINABILITY itself.
Whoever we are, the environment we live is something to
respect. Beauty and Health of a place with a human dimension
help us feel good physically and psychologically, and in human
relationships, in small places and globally. The exchange of ideas
and good practices is an enrichment, which helps to improve
oneself, and find personal and aware solutions to conflicts.
That’s why sustainable tourism is a development strategy which
protect places, memories knowledge and craftsmanship, make
each Country a unique place, where generations of people met
along centuries of civilization. 5
